Great news for the GHW team – we’ve been shortlisted at the GGP Magazine Installer Awards 2020 for Best Installation – Residential: over £20,000! It’s an honour to have been selected in this category for our aluminium installation at our client’s property in Merseyside.
The installation was challenging due to the sizes of the glass required at the pool building, and we worked closely with the client to achieve the result they required for the hydrotherapy pool and gym installed at his home. We provided curtain walling throughout this project.
Modern curtain walling systems tend to be designed with extruded aluminium members. Though aluminium is a cheaper material to produce than steel, it is just as robust. Aluminium is a green product which can be recycled many times without any loss of quality that is noticeable. It is also easy to keep clean and well maintained. It will not rust, rot or tear and neither will its shape deform or twist.
Internally the curtain walling separated the gymnasium and the pool area, losing no natural light and given the illusion of an open plan environment.
The external glazing allows natural light to flow throughout the building providing an amazing open workout environment.
